Honey production on the grounds of St. James -the-Less Cemetery

I walked the grounds of St. James the-Less Cemetery, Toronto and discovered bee hives at the back of the cemetery grounds surrounded by a black chain-linked fence.

I was told by a cemetery employee that in exchange for permitting the beekeeper to set-up their hives, they provide jars of fresh honey to the cemetery staff throughout the summer. Now that’s a honey of a deal!
