I recently returned from Washington DC and visited many sites including the Vietnam War Memorial

I walked The Mall to this somber location honouring the thousands who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The memorial includes the names of  58,318  servicemen and women who gave their lives in service in the Vietnam Conflict.

Before you enter the memorial is a book with all the names of those who died. I counted thirty seven soldiers with my surname (Crawford) who died during the Vietnam War which started in November 1955 and ended April 30, 1975.
