Sugar Man Sixto Rodriguez and my walk in Detroit

On my walk in Detroit, I discovered the home of “Rodriguez” in Detroit’s historic Woodbridge neighbourhood. Since my walk, the great poet and songwriter died August 8, 2023 at the age of 81. I walked around his home to a back alley off Hancock W. that was featured in the Academy Award winning documentary “In search of Sugar Man”.

My next visit to Detroit will be to visit his grave at Holy Cross Cemetery in Wayne County and profile this great, humble musician on Famousgravetours.com. Stay tuned!
