Visited the Jazz section at Woodlawn Cemetery, New York City

On a hill across the road from Miles Davis’ grave was an area dedicated to musicians and entertainers.

On my particular walk, I discovered the graves of jazz drummer, Max Roach, alto saxophonist, Jackie McLean, dancer and choreographer, Norma Miller, trumpet player, Clark “CT” Terry, tenor saxophonist, Illinois Jacquet and producer, promoter, pianist and founder of the Newport Jazz Festival, George Wein.
