In 1980, Jack bought an old bowling alley on Edward Street just off Yonge and called it the World’s Biggest Bookstore. At the time and true to it’s name, it was the largest bookstore in the world at 67,000 square feet and carried the most book titles only to be challenged by Barnes and Noble at their 5th Ave. store in New York City.
